About Us

New Horizons Country Day School, established in 1983, is considered an Early Childhood Specialist. We are not considered a Day Care but an educational facility within a picturesque three-acre shaded corner of Palm Harbor. New Horizons offers a strong Preschool program with an emphasis on learning through play while working on early learning benchmarks needed for school success. New Horizons offers a certified VPK (Voluntary PreK Program) and is accredited with APPLE.

New Horizons limits class size to 15 students. Our program is all inclusive with Foreign Language, Music, Fitness, Computers, weekly trips to the public library, Before and After School Care, Field Trips and Summer Camp.

New Horizons Country Day School, through a balanced program, strives to develop effective communicators, self-directed learners, complex thinkers, quality producers, collaborative workers and community contributors. We do this by offering a warm, safe and familiar environment which promotes risk taking, exploration and experimentation. In support of a holistic philosophy, we use a balanced literature-based interdisciplinary program where learning is kept whole, purposeful, social and meaningful.
